Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator / Cherry Picker to join our warehouse team in La Grange, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a cherry picker or order picker and forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
This position involves safely moving, storing, and organizing furniture, materials, and inventory throughout the warehouse while maintaining an organized and safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate cherry picker/order picker and forklift equipment safely and efficiently.
- Move furniture, materials, pallets, and inventory throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Store products and materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform inventory and location checks as needed.
- Use RF scanners or other warehouse equipment to track inventory.
- Inspect products for damage and report issues to supervisors.
- Maintain an organized and clean warehouse area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines.
- Assist with general warehouse duties and material handling as needed.
- Safely handle large, bulky, and heavy furniture items.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating a forklift and/or cherry picker/order picker.
- Warehouse, distribution, furniture, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle heavy or oversized materials.
- Ability to work at various heights while operating a cherry picker.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: $19.00 per hour
