Our client are a leading formwork and scaffolding company, specializing in the provision of high-quality solutions for construction projects. As they expand, they are seeking two dynamic and driven Foremen / Site Agents to join the team and contribute to the continued success and growth of our operations.
Position Overview :
The company are looking for young, energetic, and motivated Foremen / Site Agents with a solid understanding of concrete, formwork, and scaffolding. You will be responsible for overseeing site operations, ensuring the efficient and safe installation of formwork and scaffolding systems, and managing day-to-day site activities. The ideal candidates will have 2-5 years of experience in the concrete industry, preferably with exposure to major construction projects from some of the large, well-known construction companies.
Key Responsibilities :
Supervise and manage site activities, including the installation, inspection, and maintenance of formwork and scaffolding systems.
Oversee a team of workers and ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.
Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and company procedures.
Conduct daily site inspections to identify and resolve potential risks or issues.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to discuss project requirements, progress, and challenges.
Coordinate and schedule materials, equipment, and labor for the smooth execution of construction projects.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, time spent, and materials used.
Assist with the planning and coordination of project schedules.
Requirements :
Must be under the age of 40.
2-5 years of experience in the concrete industry.
Strong knowledge and understanding of formwork and scaffolding systems.
Previous experience working with large construction companies (preferably)
Ability to manage and supervise teams on-site.
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Must be in Pretoria (PTA) or the East Rand area (preferred).
Preferably Afrikaans-speaking (although not a strict requirement).
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and excellence.
Knowledge of construction project management processes and tools.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
