Role Description
This is a fulltime on-site role for a Food Technologist. The Food Technologist will be responsible for sensory evaluation, utilizing food technology, laboratory skills, quality control, and contributing to research and development (R&D) projects. The position is located in Porterville.

Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain food safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, national, and international regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections of production facilities to identify and address any potential food safety hazards.
Collaborate with clients to address any issues related to food safety and quality.
Train employees on proper food safety protocols and procedures to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
Stay current on food safety trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve food safety programs.
Management of online specifications and client portal

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, Microbiology, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, or food safety.
Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other food safety standards and regulations.
ISO 22000 training required
FSSC and BRC training advantageous
Working knowledge of IBL requirements will be to your advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
