We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to join our dynamic culinary team. This role involves providing exceptional in-person customer service, preparing and serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food handling, restaurant operations, and customer engagement. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including basic cooking, assembling dishes, and portioning ingredients.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment through regular cleaning routines.
- Handle manual tasks such as weight handling in the workplace and processing cash transactions accurately using POS systems.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service to guests both in-person and over the counter.
- Support catering and banquet events by setting up, serving, and clearing food stations as required.
- Follow food safety management protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and rotating supplies appropriately.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service roles within restaurants, catering, or banquet settings.
- Knowledge of food industry standards including food safety sanitizing procedures and handling techniques.
- Experience with operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, dishwashers, and POS systems.
- Familiarity with fine dining service standards is preferred.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while maintaining efficiency.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and portion control.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele.
- Culinary experience or food preparation skills are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of wine or beverage service is a plus.
- Previous restaurant or catering experience demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
