Job Mission / Objective

The mission of the Flexcube Developer and Functional Consultant at Access Bank South Africa is to leverage expertise in Flexcube development and functional consulting to drive the design, customization, implementation, and optimization of the Flexcube core banking system. This role aims to ensure the seamless integration, configuration, and utilization of Flexcube modules and functionalities to support the bank’s business objectives, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver superior customer experiences.

Main Responsibilities

  • Good knowledge of Banking Processes, Domain, and Practices.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle development tools, Web Logic server deployments, Oracle Database.
  • Core Banking Systems implementations – Preferably Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking Solution v 14.x.
  • Must have exposure to various modules of FCUBS in terms of product parameterization, testing and UAT Support.
  • Ability to analyse & translate business requirements into system solutions.
  • Must have been involved in writing Business Requirement document.
  • Good Knowledge on accounting & reports.
  • Good Knowledge on transaction flows.
  • Excellent communication skill both verbal and written.
  • Trained / experience on installation, configuration, technical and functional knowledge of at least two new products OBPM, OBCFPM, OBTFPM, OBLM, OBCL, OBCLPM, OBSCF, OBVAM.
  • Create detailed designs and technical specifications for all customisations along with effort estimates.
  • Business Planning/Decision Making.
  • Interact with the company’s business users to understand their issues so that they can be resolved.

Job Requirements Academic Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science / accounting / Banking / Commerce / Management.
  • Good experience/knowledge on Flexcube web services and integration with third party applications.
  • Experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Java, web logic.
  • Good understanding on Flexcube modules such as CASA, CORE, CL, OBPM, OBCL, Loan Origination, ELCM, 8C, LC & EOC, ATM.
  • Must have experience in dealing with stakeholders from a business and technical level.
  • Must have good technical and business knowledge of the Banking environment.
  • Must have effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Good exposure to integrations with external parties to Oracle Flex and understanding of the core banking processes and applications will be an advantage.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 8 years’ extensive Oracle Flexcube experience.

Skills / Specialized Know How

  • Flexcube Development:
    Proficiency in developing, customizing, and configuring Flexcube modules, workflows, and functionalities using Flexcube development tools and technologies.
  • Functional Consulting:
    Ability to provide functional expertise, guidance, and support to business stakeholders and end-users on Flexcube capabilities, features, and best practices.
  • Integration and Interoperability:
    Experience in developing and maintaining interfaces and integrations between Flexcube and other systems, applications, and third-party services using standard protocols and APIs.
  • Customization and Configuration:
    Strong skills in customizing and configuring Flexcube modules, parameters, and workflows to align with business requirements and operational processes.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Solid understanding of Oracle Flexcube core banking system, including Oracle PL/SQL, Flexcube APIs, and customization tools, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Management:
    Ability to document technical specifications, configurations, and customizations related to Flexcube development and implementation, and maintain up-to-date documentation and knowledge repositories.

    Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
