REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12
Trade Certificate/Diploma in Fitting & Turning
Proven experience as a Fitter and Turner, preferably in heavy machinery manufacturing.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a fitter turner in an industrial setting.
Boilermaker experience
Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
Valid Driver’s license
KEY FOCUS:
Assemble and fit mechanical components for conveyor systems.
Operate lathes, milling machines, and other precision tools to fabricate and modify parts.
Conduct quality checks to ensure components meet design specifications.
Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools to ensure efficiency.
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to manufacture parts accurately.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults in equipment and components.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in the workplace.
Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and other machinery.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical faults on machinery and equipment.
Ensure all mechanical systems are operating efficiently and effectively.
Replace worn or damaged parts in machinery and conduct regular lubrication of mechanical components.
Fabricate, assemble, and install metal structures, including boilers, tanks, and pressure vessels.
Cut, shape, weld, and install metal components according to blueprints and specifications.
Conduct structural repairs on existing equipment and machinery
