Position: Firefighter – Somerset West

Positions exist for the use and application of Firefighters within the Fidelity Group to respond and deal with fire-related incidents.
Key responsibilities include:
Responding to fires, rescues, and emergency incidents
Operating firefighting equipment and apparatus
Providing emergency rescue services and basic medical care
Participating in fire prevention and training activities
Maintaining firefighting equipment and vehicles
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and conducting safety inspections
Qualifications and experience required:
Grade 12 minimum qualification
NFPA 1001 Firefighter 2 certification and IFSAC accreditation
2-3 years firefighting experience
Valid code C1 driver’s license with PrDP
Medically and physically fit
Knowledge of firefighting systems and Hazmat procedures
Core competencies:
Strong communication skills
Understanding of fire prevention and safety protocols
Ability to respond efficiently to emergencies
