Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

Our client, a long-standing group of attorneys, has an opening for a high-performing Financial Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial administration within the group.

Role Requirements:

A solid background (minimum 5 years exp.) working as a Financial Manager within a professional service industry, preferably legal, as prospective candidates must possess a working knowledge of Trust Accounting.

Duties

include but are not limited to:

Maintaining internal controls

Preparation of Annual Financial Statements

Preparation of Audit packs

Drafting of monthly Management Accounts for Directorship

Manage and motivate a team of five

Liaise and report to Directorship

Ensuring corporate governance, regulatory compliance – Legal Practice Council reports and correspondence

Providing and maintaining relevant records/documents required for BEE audit, etc.

Candidate Requirements:

BCom Hons Accounting degree

5 years’ experience in a professional service industry firm (preferably legal)

Attention to detail

Bilingualism (English/Afrikaans)/Excellent communication skills

Excellent problem-solving skills

Team player

Efficient, Deadline driven

The ability to thrive in a multi-tasking environment

Remuneration package commensurate with experience.
