We are seeking a qualified and experienced Financial Controller to oversee our company’s financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial regulations, and a proven track record of managing budgets, financial reporting, and internal controls.
This is a key role responsible for driving financial performance and operational efficiency across the UK, France & South Africa operations.
Job Description:
As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company in the UK, South Africa and France, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting strategic decision-making. This role requires a deep understanding of the IT consulting business model, particularly within the IAM space, including project-based billing, resource management, and partner/vendor ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
Maintain general ledger, reconcile accounts, and manage month-end close.
Develop forecasts, budgets, and financial models tailored to IAM services
Project & Resource Accounting
Track project-based revenue recognition and costs (Time & Materials and fixed-price models).
Monitor utilisation rates and margin performance across IAM engagements.
Cash Flow & Treasury
Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital optimisation.
Oversee invoicing cycles, collections, and vendor payments.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and audit requirements.
Evaluate and improve internal controls across financial systems.
Strategic Finance Support
Partner with senior leadership to assess profitability and cost structure of IAM projects.
Provide financial insights to support pricing, investments, and go-to-market planning.
Team Leadership & Systems
Coordinate with external accountants and auditors.
Drive finance process automation and system improvements (e.g., ERP, PSA tools).
Your Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
5+ years of experience in financial management, with at least 2 years in an IT consulting environment.
Strong knowledge of project accounting and consulting financial workflows.
Familiarity with Identity & Access Management or cybersecurity industries a strong plus.
Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, working remotely, with team meetings once per month in our Cape Town office in South Africa.
