Role Description This is a full-time Financial Advisor role with full training provided, structured as a hybrid position based in Bryanston, Bedfordview, Pretoria, Vaal, Cape Town and Durban with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients to understand their financial goals, conducting financial needs analyses, and recommending appropriate insurance, risk, retirement, investment, and savings solutions. The role involves preparing and presenting tailored financial plans, following up on client queries, and maintaining long-term advisory relationships. The Financial Advisor will also collaborate with internal teams, stay informed about product offerings and regulatory changes, and use CRM and digital tools to manage client pipelines and documentation. Performance will be measured through client satisfaction, adherence to compliance standards, and achievement of agreed business targets.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated interest or foundational knowledge in Financial Planning and Financial Advisory, with the ability to understand client needs and propose suitable solutions.
- Competence or strong aptitude in Finance and Investments, including interpreting basic financial information and discussing risk and return in a clear, accessible way.
- Understanding of or willingness to learn Retirement Planning principles, including long-term savings strategies, risk cover, and portfolio diversification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, explain complex concepts simply, and work with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Resilience, goal orientation, and self-motivation, with the capacity to work independently in a hybrid environment and manage time and priorities effectively.
- Comfort with digital tools, CRM systems, and basic office software; ability to maintain accurate records and comply with relevant regulations and policies.
- Matric/Grade 12 required; a relevant diploma or degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field is advantageous.
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or financial services is beneficial but not mandatory, as comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided.
