Our client, a licensed South African financial services provider, is seeking a high-caliber Financial Advisor to join their Advisory Services team in the beautiful coastal town of Hermanus, Western Cape.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Financial Advisor, you will provide personalized advice with a focus on investment portfolios, retirement planning, and wealth preservation. Your core duties will include:
Tailored Financial Planning: Conducting in-depth needs analyses to develop financial plans aligned with clients'' life goals.
Retirement Expertise: Developing and implementing strategies for South African retirees and expatriates to ensure lifestyle sustainability.
Investment Guidance: Advising on offshore options, annuities, living annuities, and tax-efficient drawdown strategies.
Cross-Border Advisory: Navigating complex issues such as foreign pensions, dual tax residency, currency risk, and international estate planning.
Client Relationship Management: Building long-term relationships based on trust and transparency while conducting regular portfolio reviews.
Compliance & Technical Proficiency: Ensuring all advice remains compliant with South African financial legislation (FSCA, SARS, SARB) and managing client interactions through CRM systems like AtWork.
Role Requirements:
Our client is looking for an individual who balances technical mastery with exceptional interpersonal skills. To be considered, you should possess:
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Professional Designation: Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation or equivalent.
Extensive Experience: A minimum of 10 years in financial advisory, specifically focused on investments and retirement planning.
Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success working with high-net-worth individuals, retirees, and expatriates.
Licensing: RE5/RE1 certification as an authorized representative is required.
Essential Traits: High levels of integrity, empathy, resilience, and a problem-solving mindset.
Digital Proficiency: Comfort in conducting virtual consultations via Teams and proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for financial calculations.
