Overview
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a dynamic manufacturing environment based in Rosslyn. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing treasury activities, ensuring effective debtor and creditor control, and supporting accurate and timely financial reporting.
This role requires a hands-on finance professional with strong accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
POSITION INFO:
Overview: An opportunity exists for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a manufacturing environment in Rosslyn. The successful candidate will be responsible for treasury management, financial reporting, VAT and tax submissions, debtor and creditor control, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. Key Responsibilities: Manage the treasury function, including weekly payment runs and bank reconciliations. Process receipts and payments and ensure exchange control compliance. Monitor debtors and review monthly creditor reconciliations. Process accruals and provisions. Prepare VAT returns and withholding tax submissions. Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting. Liaise with internal departments and support audit requirements. Maintain effective financial controls and compliance. Requirements: Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing. Minimum 5 years' experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role. Manufacturing industry experience advantageous. Strong knowledge of VAT, taxation, and financial reporting. Proficient in MS Excel and SAP . Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail. Strong communication skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently.
