Malander is currently seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to hold the title of a Financial Accountant on a contractual basis. The ideal individual will be assisting with the finance function for 9 entities, necessitating strong attention to detail and financial acumen. Effective interpersonal skills are essential, as the role involves collaboration with various stakeholders. The successful candidate would need to start immediately.
Job Responsibilities:
Preparation of financial statements, ensuring they comply with accounting standards and regulations;
Assist with gathering and organising supporting documents and evidence for the audit;
Liaise with auditors to provide them with the information they need and to address any queries they may have;
Assist with resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise during the audit process;
Conducting regular reconciliations of accounts, and ledgers to ensure accuracy;
Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations;
Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards, as well as internal policies and procedures.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field;
Chartered Accountant (South Africa) qualification (CA(SA);
Minimum of 2 years post-articles experience;
Sage 300 (advantageous).
