A growing hardware distribution company is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to lead the finance department. The successful candidate will manage daily operations, oversee a small team, maintain compliance, drive cash flow efficiency, and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and review daily financial transactions, including bank, petty cash, creditors, and journals
Prepare and submit VAT, EMP201/EMP501, and monthly management reports
Maintain accurate reconciliations, GL integrity, and supplier accounts
Oversee payroll processing and related compliance
Experience with Foreign payments and banks
Drive proactive, cost-effective financial improvements
Liaise with auditors, consultants, and SARS on financial matters
Lead a small finance team and ensure timely task execution
Requirements:
BCom in Accounting / Advanced Diploma / B-Tech in finance (required)
Articles and industry experience (advantageous)
Proficiency in Pastel Evolution
5 years strong experience
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
