POSITION INFO:
I am looking for a Financial Accountant to support a reputable legal professional services environment where precision and compliance are non‑negotiable. This role sits at the financial centre of a practice where every number must balance, justify, and stand up to scrutiny.
With a history spanning over a century, the firm has evolved from a traditional legal practice into a large, multi‑disciplinary operation expanding its services, footprint, and client base while maintaining a strong foundation of structure, integrity, and accountability.
Duties
- Financial systems administration
- Billing and revenue recognition
- Month‑end close and reconciliations
- Management and variance reporting
- Audit preparation and coordination
- Budgeting and financial planning support
- Multi‑currency accounting and management reporting
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
Skills & Experience:
- BCom degree or relevant finance qualification (Essential)
- Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles (Preferred)
- Experience gained within a law firm or similar environment
- Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working with diverse personalities
