A leading company in the renewable energy sector is seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to support the financial operations of its power plant portfolio. This role partners closely with operations to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and improved plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage monthly financial processes including journals, revenue invoicing, fixed assets, reconciliations, and tax submissions.
Prepare financial reports and variance analysis for stakeholders.
Monitor and forecast cash flow; manage debt schedules and payment processes.
Prepare statutory, lender, and compliance reports.
Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting; support broader finance and operational teams.
Requirements:
Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or equivalent NQF-level qualification.
3+ years’ post-articles experience in a commercial or corporate setting.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
Strong technical knowledge of financial systems and controls.
Advantageous: Experience in renewable energy, shared services, and multi-entity environments.
