Role Description
Everlytic is looking for a Finance Team Lead to own the finance function day to day and help shape the decisions that sit above it.
You'll manage the preparation of financial statements, run accounting operations, and keep reporting accurate and on time. You'll dig into the numbers, spot the trends that matter, and turn them into insights leadership can actually act on. You'll keep the function compliant with relevant standards, support audits and tax work, and partner with other departments on budgeting and forecasting. You'll also mentor the team and keep tightening the processes and controls behind the scenes.
This is a hybrid role, based in the Johannesburg Metro area with a mix of on-site and work-from-home days.
What you'll need:
- 4+ years hands-on experience spanning the full finance function—AP, billing/revenue, credit control, reconciliations, and reporting—built across one or more roles.
- Experience preparing financial statements and managing month-end reporting.
- Internal audit experience—supporting, coordinating, or working through audit cycles.
- A track record of improving and managing finance processes and controls, not just following them
- Experience supporting audits and tax-related activities.
- Comfortable partnering cross-functionally on budgeting and forecasting.
- Some experience mentoring or developing junior team members.
- Genuine interest in AI and automation—you'll be expected to help push this forward, not just tolerate it.
Nice to have:
- Experience with an ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar)—useful but not essential; Business Central exposure is a bonus
- Familiarity with data governance / POPIA-related controls.
