About the Role:
We are seeking a
highly trustworthy, strategic, and detail-oriented Finance Manager
to take complete ownership of our company’s financial operations. This is a
hands-on
leadership
role where you will oversee all financial functions—from day-to-day accounting to high-level
strategic planning
. You will be entrusted with full control of the finance function, working closely with the executive team to support the company’s growth and operational goals.
This is a pivotal role for someone who understands not just numbers but the full financial ecosystem—systems, cash flow, real estate revenue, and strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate is as comfortable in Quick Books as they are in executive strategy sessions and has the integrity and
precision
to be the financial cornerstone of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage all financial operations including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and compliance.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting via Quick Books
, with integrations from Ramp
,
Buildium
, and other tools.
Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, vendor payments, and owner distributions.
Supervise the client accounting function performed by Proper
, our accounting vendor—ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables.
Lead the relationship with Proper, overseeing their work on day-to-day accounting tasks and acting as the main point of contact.
Provide financial leadership and insight to the CEO and leadership team, supporting strategic planning and decision-making.
Maintain full visibility and control over cash flow, financial risks, and opportunities—especially in the context of property management and real estate operations.
Implement and optimize financial systems and internal controls to streamline processes and ensure audit readiness.
Lead and develop a growing finance team, setting clear goals and KPIs.
Coordinate with external partners (e.g., auditors, banks, vendors) to ensure effective financial oversight.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including leadership or CFO-level responsibilities.
Strong technical background with Quick Books
,
Ramp
, and preferably Buildium or similar property management platforms.
Experience managing outsourced accounting vendors or offshore teams—especially platforms like Proper
.
Solid understanding of real estate and property management finance
, including invoicing, cash flow, revenue tracking, and owner distributions.
Track record of implementing efficient financial systems and maintaining financial integrity in a growing organization.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—able to present financial data clearly and manage cross-functional relationships.
High level of organization, integrity, and accountability—you thrive in a role where trust and precision are essential.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required; CPA, CA, or Master’s degree a plus.
