Purpose of the Position:

  • To support the Canal+ Africa CFO, Canal+ Africa SVP Financial Services and Canal+ Group and Africa Finance teams
  • To lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting across 20+ countries, 8+ clusters and 70+ MCG entities in Africa
  • To drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance measurement and management
  • To provide analysis and insights to support strategic and capital allocation decision-making
  • To work closely with the Canal+ Africa FPA&R team responsible for the historic Canal+ International perimeter
  • To work closely with the Canal+ Africa Consolidation & Financial Services team, as well as tax and treasury teams

Key Objectives

Tasks

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Oversee annual budgeting and rolling forecasts (RF), as well as ad hoc business planning
  • Track monthly and year-to-date performance vs. budget / RF1 / RF2, and prior year
  • Deliver cash flow forecasting and liquidity alongside treasury
  • Develop and maintain scenario models and sensitivity analyses, notably for FX assumptions

Reporting, Analysis & Insights

  • Drive month-end and management reporting for business reviews and finops presentations
  • Analyse financial, non-GAAP and operational KPIs
  • Provide financial insights and commentary
  • Support Canal+ Group reporting and market positioning
  • Support covenant compliance at Canal+ Group level

Business & Executive Support

  • Support performance management, identifying risks, opportunities and appropriate actions
  • Support short, medium and long-term planning, strategic reviews and capital allocation
  • Support valuations work and/or special project work
  • Support AfrExco, AfriFinCo, Supervisory Board and shareholder reporting requirements

Qualifications

  • CA(SA), DEC or equivalent preferable
  • Relevant postgraduate finance qualification advantageous (e.g. CFA, FPAC)

Experience

  • 5-10 years in finance, with extensive FP&A and reporting exposure
  • Commercial and/or corporate finance experience a bonus
  • Experience in complex, multi-national / multi-entity / multi-currency environments
  • Leadership experience in managing teams and engaging with senior stakeholders
