Finance Manager Jobs in Home Based at One to One Africa

The Financial Manager’s overall role is to run the entire financial arm of the organisation and

across all the relevant projects.

Key Performance Indicators:

To ensure that all the financial transactions in the finance system are processed within required time frames

To ensure that all relevant supporting documents are collected as per financial requirements set out and that these are filed regularly

To ensure that the standard operating procedures as set out for finance and procurement are followed

Main Responsibilities and Requirements:

Manage the full finance function from transaction initiation until completion, ensuring adherence to project costing requirements

Manage finance team and, assist in developing and implementing strategies for continuous improvement of the finance team’s efficiency, accuracy, and quality of work (performance management)

Manage the financial elements of payroll ensuring correct allocations of staff costs between projects

Ensure that staff time is reconciled with donor reports and staff salaries.

Assist grants officer with production of financial reports to donors

Responsible for the production of monthly programme expenditure reports

Prepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis

Prepare annual organisational budget and quarterly reforecast

Monitor cash flow requirements

Manage the audit process

Responsible for maintaining statutory financial compliance, including tax

Assist with the production of donor budgets including budget justifications for all current grants and future applications. Responsible with the Head of Finance for maintaining the overall view of the organisation’s financial position, highlighting risks, budget shortfalls and cost-saving opportunities.

Responsible with the Head of Finance for implementing and maintaining adequate financial systems (including IT and software systems) as well as processes that will ensure segregation of duties incl. the adequate internal controls to ensure that no funds are misappropriated.

Qualifications, Experience & Competencies:

Required qualification CTA/CA(SA)

Finance Degree or related field

Experience managing an organisation’s financial and tax-related compliance requirements

Level of work complexity (senior management level)

Excellent knowledge of financial management systems and software

Ability to work independently, accurately and with attention to detail.

Ability to manage competing tasks; ability to prioritize and produce high level output consistently

Numerate
