The Finance Manager will lead the Finance team and function of a successful, national Electrical wholesaler.
Responsibilities include:
Manage the finance function including financial accounting and budgetary control.
Business Unit and Head office reporting (Monthly/year-end)
Tax / VAT / EMP 201& 501 management
Foreign transaction / Forward cover / Excon management
Cash flow planning, Bank management, payment validation
Oversee large debtor’s department, deal with credit problems
Integrity of financial systems / data / reports / history
Motivate and lead the finance team
Manage projects:
Budgets / Insurance values / Internal audits / etc
Generate a range of monthly finance reports for upstream and downstream communication
Qualifications and
Experience:
Either new CA(SA) or BCom + Articles plus 7 years’ experience
IT literate (will need to manage a unique bespoke finance system)
Four (4) years or more experience in Finance department management is deemed advantageous
Wholesale and distribution (with import/export) experience.
Ability to engage with all levels of stakeholders, including those with limited accounting knowledge.
Analytical and commercially minded, able to collect and analyse data and provide insight to improve business performance
This role will suit a hands on Finance Manager that has managed a finance team in a similar environment. Someone who is technically sound as a Finance professional and who is able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
