The finance manager’s role is to provide strategic support and manage specific finance, costing processes and reporting functions for companies within the MSO Group.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Finance Manager role
Knowledge, skills and attitude:
Understanding of data privacy standards
Knowledge and understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Thorough understanding of business principles and practices
Superior and meticulous attention to detail
Organisational , Planning and research skills
Leadership qualities a must – Assertive, integrity, punctuality and honesty a must
Highly Excel proficient
Sound Accounting/Bookkeeping knowledge
Knowledge of Forex related transactions. Must be able to work with multiple currencies
Knowledge and experience with international payments and accounts
Ability to build relationships with clients and Suppliers
Good problem-solving skills
Efficient time management skill

Duties and Responsibilities included but not limited for all MSO Companies and subsidiaries:
Direct line-management responsibility for the Corporate Finance team
Joint line-management responsibility (with the Head of Operations) for the Operational Finance Team.
Oversee, review, and adhere to the budgets for each business
Assist in company-wide budgetary planning
Preparation of monthly management account packs
Prepare annual financial statements in terms of IFRS and group reporting requirements for all companies
Prepare reports for Board and committees
Prepare tax submission reports and ensure tax compliance and submission of tax returns
Review and sign off of monthly and annual Discovery Group reporting submissions
Ensure that all the company’s financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation
Analyse the financial climate and market trends to assist Exco in creating strategic plans for the future
Interpret complex financial information and provide updates and information as needed
Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions
Supervise financial assistants and other employees in the facilitation of day-to-day operations, including tracking financial data, invoicing, payroll, etc.
Prepare official reports on a monthly and annual basis
Seek out methods and practices to minimise financial risk
Manage internal and external audits
Create and maintain relationships with service providers and contractors, including banking institutions and accountants
Update and implement financial policies and procedures
Maintain a policy manual for the finance department
Establish and implement a training program for new finance employees
