Field Maintenance Engineer Jobs in Cape Town, South Africa at FACT Sa

Responsible for the daily maintenance/inspection on HVAC, Generator, UPS, and Electrical based on checklist and operation guide.

24 hours standby in case there is an emergency issue happening in the data center.

Attend fault handling and be able to operate data center facility according to Emergency Procedure.

Responsible for the reporting and tracking of major events, and responsible for the organization, review, and implementation of major changes.

Be familiar with and master the current status of all power guarantee facilities at the project site and the power requirements of each computer room.

Responsible for managing the infrastructure operation and maintenance team, continuously training and assessing, and ensuring that team members meet the job competency requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or above, graduated from electricity, HVAC, automation, and other related majors.

More than 5 years of experience in data center infrastructure construction or operation and maintenance management, preferably those who have managed a 7
* 24-hour operation and maintenance team of more than 30 people.

Familiar with the operation and maintenance of data center infrastructure, and have the ability to adjust, repair, troubleshoot, and modify the room system. Safety assessment and review capabilities of the transformation plan.

Be familiar with 2 or 3 domains in Generator/HVAC/UPS/General Electrician maintenance or deployment.
