The Role: Field Implementation Specialist
We have sold the dream; your job is to help us deliver the reality.
As our first Field Implementation Specialist, you’ll be the person customers see and work with every day. Your mission is to work directly with our first major customers, ensuring their pilots & implementations are a massive success. You won’t be alone – you will be on-site working side-by-side with the founders, learning the product and the processes directly from them. Your goal is to become the go-to expert for our customers, turning their initial excitement into long-term value.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-Site Implementation: You’ll be present at customer mine sites, guiding them through the setup, rollout, and adoption of the Diggy.app platform.
- Training: Teach machine operators, foremen, administrators and managers how to use our software effectively and get the most value out of it.
- Customer Support: Be the first person customers call when they have questions or problems, solving issues quickly.
- Feedback: Listen to customers, understand their needs, and share this feedback with our team to improve the product.
- Data Accuracy: Make sure customer data is correct and used properly in our system.
- Create Processes: Help us develop a clear, repeatable approach (playbook) to onboarding future customers.
- Oversee our Installers: Work directly with our Telematics installation teams and guide their CAN do attitude
Skills & Qualifications:
- Problem Solver: You enjoy fixing problems independently and creatively.
- Clear Communicator: You can talk easily with people at all levels—from mine operators, to mechanics, to mine managers.
- Comfortable with Tech: You learn software quickly and pay attention to detail.
- Flexible: You stay calm and positive even in challenging situations.
- Organized: You manage your time and responsibilities well, without needing constant supervision.
- Travel Ready: You have a valid driver’s license and are happy to travel regularly to customer sites, with your base being in the Gauteng / North-West provinces.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in mining operations or asset management.
- Previous experience with software implementation or industrial technologies.
- Qualification in Engineering, IT, or a related field.
