Production Manager
POSITION INFO:
Opportunity for a Feed Mill Production Manager with a national company that is people first driven. must be fluent in Afrikaans as first language This role involves planning and co-ordinating of the feed manufacturing processes to ensure that the products and services are effective and produced according to the right costs and quality. Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for the management and coordination of the feed mills processes, including intake, storage, grinding, batching, mixing, pelting, the dispatch of product, continuous improvement of the facilities performance and overall equipment efficiency and stock control. Ensure adequate raw material levels in proportioning bins. Ensure adequate final feed stock levels in out-loading bins. Participate in schedule planned maintenance. Check & ensure that pellet and feed quality meets specifications. Manage raw material and final feed line / system flushing. Daily, weekly, monthly monitoring & control of overall equipment efficiency. Implement initiative to address deviations. Ensure the accurate completion of shift production key performance indicators. Adequately report machine & equipment failures to maintenance department. Requirements: Matric (Grade 12). Production Diploma. 4 years in animal feed manufacturing environment. Legal compliance and OSHAct. Basic Employment Act and ISO standards. Good manufacturing practices.
