Job Overview
Guardian Route Solutions is seeking a motivated and dependable FedEx Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be the face of our company, delivering packages efficiently and safely to our valued customers. Your enthusiasm for driving, excellent customer service skills, and attention to detail will ensure a seamless delivery experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to show your driving expertise all while maintaining high safety standards and organizational excellence.
Duties
- Safely operate various types of vehicles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and company policies.
- Routinely deliver 90-150 stops a day.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals and pickups.
- Load and unload packages using proper heavy lifting practices.
- Engage with customers professionally, providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including pricing details, route logs, and delivery confirmation records.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure vehicle cleanliness and safety.
- Organize packages on delivery vehicles for optimal space utilization and easy access during deliveries.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial transportation safety.
- Be able to safely lift/carry up to 75 lbs. and maneuver up to 150 lbs. with hand truck
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Demonstrated organizational skills for managing deliveries efficiently and maintaining accurate records
- Be able to work in all types of weather
- Have a strong work ethic and a “whatever it takes”
- Pass a drug test (includes marijuana) with continued random drug screens on set throughout employment
- Pass a DOT physical test
- Pass FedEx Ground Third Party background check
- Pass a DOT physical test
