We are seeking a passionate and innovative Fashion Designer to bring fresh, trend-setting ideas to life. As a key member of our design team, you will collaborate closely with merchandising and production teams to deliver compelling fashion collections that captivate our audience and elevate our brand presence.
Duties
- Develop original fashion concepts by researching current trends, color palettes, and fabric innovations to inspire seasonal collections.
- Create detailed sketches and technical illustrations using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and CAD software to communicate design ideas clearly.
- Select appropriate fabrics, trims, and accessories that align with design vision while considering garment construction and durability.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle from initial concept through sample development to final production, ensuring designs meet quality standards and deadlines.
- Collaborate with pattern makers and seamstresses to translate designs into prototypes, providing guidance on garment construction techniques.
- Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper fit, comfort, and aesthetic appeal of each piece.
- Stay informed about fashion retail trends and consumer preferences to ensure collections are relevant and market-ready.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fashion design with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse styles and technical skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), CAD software, and garment patterning tools.
- Solid understanding of product lifecycle management processes from concept to production.
- Knowledge of garment construction techniques, sewing machines, and fabric properties.
- Strong sense of color theory, fashion styling, illustration skills, and graphic design capabilities.
- Familiarity with fashion retail environments and merchandising principles.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting ideas effectively.
