Role Description The Factory Procurement Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Randburg. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for the factory, including sourcing materials, evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. The Factory Procurement Manager will work closely with production, finance, and project teams to maintain optimal stock levels and align purchasing decisions with project requirements and budgets. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring supplier performance, maintaining procurement records, optimizing costs without compromising quality, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. The role also involves identifying opportunities for process improvements, building strong supplier relationships, and supporting continuous enhancement of factory operations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Procurement and Supplier Evaluation skills to source, assess, and select reliable suppliers and materials.
- Candidates should possess Contract Negotiation and Contract Management skills to secure favorable terms and ensure adherence to agreements.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret data, manage budgets, and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Solid understanding of factory or manufacturing operations and material requirements planning is beneficial.
- Experience in shop fitting, construction, or related industries is an advantage.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software or ERP systems and standard office applications.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, or a related field is preferred.
