Job Description

To plan and manage all production schedules ensuring production efficiency and ensuring the maximum and efficient use of all resources.

  • Production Planning
  • Analyse unconstrained demand against factory capacity to understand the feasibility of market demand.
  • Produce a production plan, determine priority production and allocate tasks to production team.
  • Track and monitor production progress until production completion.
  • Coordinate trial planning periods and schedule into production plan.
  • Special Occasion Planning
  • Receive customer order numbers from Sales & Marketing for new products.
  • Produce a special occasion plan and discuss priorities with COO.
  • Provide detailed production plan to production team and allocate tasks.
  • Track and monitor production progress until production completion.

Qualification Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • 3 year degree / diploma

Experience Requirements

  • Basic literacy and numeracy
  • FMCG environment in production planning role 5 years

Key Outputs

  • Reporting
  • Produce accurate and timeous daily production reports for Factory Manager to track actual production vs planned figures.
  • Adhoc duties
  • Secondary checking on materials/stock availability.
  • Provide packing plan to Sales & Marketing in order to make sales decisions to customers.
  • Provide deep cleaning schedule
  • 5. Health and Safety
    • Adhere to all Health and Safety rules and standards.
    • Wear the required PPE all the time.
    • Ensure the right safety equipment is available and use it in a safe and correct manner.
    • Accountable for all safety equipment issued.
    • Report all safety hazards, accidents and incidents to relevant parties.
    • Quality
    • Ensure alignment of all work process to the required quality standards.
    • Proactively identify continual improvement strategies.
    • Action agreed quality initiatives ensuring that they are aligned to business unit/ tasks/ processes/ systems.
    • Implement corrective actions identified within specified time.
