Top plastic packaging manufacturer seeks a Factory Engineer. Oversee the production and engineering functions of the factory.

What the person must be able to do:
This role is in the South African plastics packaging sector. All duties would take place in this context.
The person must be capable of the following:
Production Achieving production efficiencies of 80+%
Optimising shift times
Optimising machine usage
Optimising Production Process Production reporting
Maintenance Ensuring maximal machine uptime
Proactive maintenance scheduling
SLA management with vendors
Maintenance Budgeting Maintenance reporting
Occupational Health and Safety Housekeeping rules
Customer Service Regularly visit customers to ensure satisfaction
Address quality issues
Leadership Staff Recruitment Staff Development Creating a positive work climate
Key Job Deliverables (First 6-12 Months):
General engineering function of plastic packaging plant
Maintenance practices audited and improvements implemented
Plant efficiency of at least 85%
Background work experience
5+ years experience in the plastic production environment
2+ years experience in a management role
BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
ECSA professional registration advantageous
Proven track record in plant maintenance (we will check references)
Strong interpersonal skills and team player

Salary: Market Related. In the Range of R55K to R70K per month dependent on experience and proven track record. More senior candidate with exceptional experience may also apply.
