What You’ll Do
As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the building, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
- Maintain lighting, doors, dock equipment, and racking
- Conduct general facility repairs including carpentry, painting, and minor masonry
- Support HVAC maintenance (excluding Freon work)
- Coordinate maintenance vendors for inspections and service work
- Respond to maintenance requests quickly and professionally
- Maintain tools, equipment, and organized work areas
- Ensure safety compliance across the facility
Skills & Experience We’re Looking For
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general facility repair
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read technical instructions and safety manuals
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Self-starter who works well with minimal supervision
Preferred Background
- 2+ years of maintenance or facilities experience
- Experience in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environments
- Technical school certification (electrical/mechanical) preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements
This is a hands-on role that includes:
- Standing, walking, bending, and climbing
- Working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Lifting up to 75 lbs regularly
- Using ladders and facility equipment
- Operating vehicles when necessary
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Occasional on-call availability required
