The Opportunity Oasis Luxury Retirement Resort is seeking a strategic, highly disciplined, and project-driven Facilities Project & Maintenance Manager to lead our estate operations. We are looking for a senior professional who combines technical mastery with modern leadership and a passion for technology-enabled facilities management.
The Candidate We Are Looking For A "Top Fit" for this role is an individual who can provide documented evidence of senior-level accountability across the following core pillars:
Core Responsibilities (Hard Requirements)
- Strategic Facilities Management: Lead day-to-day facilities operations comparable in complexity to a large-scale luxury resort or multi-site corporate portfolio.
- Maintenance Mastery: Direct comprehensive planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance programmes to ensure 100% operational uptime.
- End-to-End Project Management: Take full accountability for the planning, execution, and delivery of complex capital (CAPEX) and operational (OPEX) projects.
- Senior Team Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary technical teams, managing performance, workforce planning, and professional development.
- Budgetary Stewardship: Own the financial lifecycle of the department, including strategic budget planning, forecasting, and rigorous expenditure management.
- Digital Innovation: Drive the transition to a digitally enabled environment through the expert use and management of facilities-specific systems such as CMMS, CAFM, BMS, or SAP Facilities.
- Asset Lifecycle Management: Implement long-term infrastructure stewardship, including condition monitoring and replacement strategies for physical assets.
Technical Requirements
- Infrastructure Oversight: Proven responsibility for multiple engineering disciplines, including utilities, HVAC, and MV/LV electrical or mechanical systems.
- Governance & Compliance: Expert knowledge of the OHS Act (GMR 2.1), statutory audits, ISO standards (e.g., ISO 45001), and safety systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: A relevant tertiary qualification (BEng, BTech, or Diploma) in Engineering, Facilities Management, or Project Management is preferred. Trade-tested artisans with substantial senior management experience will be highly regarded.
- Seniority: Significant progressive experience (ideally 10–15+ years) in high-stakes facilities or engineering environments. Experience in luxury residential estates, retirement villages, or 5-star hospitality is a distinct advantage.
- Project Certification: Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, SAFMA, or FMP are highly appreciated.
