Facilities and Maintenance Manager Jobs in Randburg at Ann Harding Cheshire Home

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our Homes operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our building, including maintenance, repairs, and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the facility, including maintenance, repairs, and renovations.

· Maintain an accurate Maintenance Book.

· Submit monthly reports to Home Manager.

· Develop and implement a facilities management plan that aligns with the organisation’s goals.

· Manage and supervise a team of facilities staff, including maintenance personnel and drivers.

· Monitor security providers and liaise with Home Manager.

· Plan and complete projects, including budgets for these projects.

· Monitor drivers and ensure maintenance of vehicles (including roadworthiness, licencing etc.). Make daily transport arrangements with Residents and staff.

· Supervise gardening staff, and ensure gardens are maintained at a high standard.

· Obtain three quotes before any contractor commences work.

· Annual assessment of regular service providers.

· Coordinate and monitor internet connectivity, telephones, office equipment and liaise with service providers.

· Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards, including fire regulations and compliance. Facilitate regular fire drills.

· Manage and oversee vendors and contractors.

· Monitor and track facility costs and budgets.

· Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.

· Manage and optimize space planning and utilization.

· Procurement of items related to the facilities function, and assisting with other procurement eg. Medical equipment

Skills and Experience:

· Proven experience in facilities management, with a strong understanding of building operations and maintenance.

· Strong leadership and team management skills.

· Experience in developing and managing budgets.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

· Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards.

· Knowledge of solar, plumbing and electrical.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R22 000,00 – R25 000,00 per month
