Role Description:
Day-to-day responsibilities typically include preparing and finalising finance and insurance contracts, explaining financing options and insurance products to customers, and ensuring all documentation complies with relevant regulations and company policies. The role involves collaborating with sales teams, maintaining accurate records, and following up with financial institutions to secure approvals. The F & I professional is also expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of interest rates, lending criteria, insurance offerings, and industry best practices to provide clear, compliant guidance to customers.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in finance and insurance within automotive or related industries, including structuring deals and handling contract documentation.
- Strong knowledge of relevant financial regulations, compliance standards, and lending practices applicable to the South African market.
- Proficiency in working with financial software, dealership management systems, and standard office tools (e.g., spreadsheets, CRM platforms).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and build trust.
- High attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical abilities, and a consistent focus on accuracy and risk management.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams and external financial partners while meeting deadlines and performance targets.
- Relevant qualification in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications in F&I or financial services are an advantage.
- Previous on-site experience in a dealership, financial institution, or similar environment in the Durban Metropolitan Area or broader region is beneficial.
