Job Description
An externalsales representativeconducts sales out in the field via face-to-face interactions with both potential and existing customers. They are responsible for offering the best possible customer experience as well as providinghands-onexplanations of any new or updated products when necessary. Their main duties include traveling to assigned territories to meet with potential and current customers, negotiating sales contracts and telling clients about new products, updates and features.
Requirements
National senior certificate Grade 12
NQF Level 6 Diploma / Advanced Certificate in Sales and Marketing
3 years Sales experience essential
Ability to read technical drawings
Must be in possession of a driver’s license Code B
Must be a team player.
Intermediate proficient levels in SAP / ERP system, Word, Excel and Outlook
Attention to detailis a critical aspect of this role.
Must be organized and manage time efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities
Sales Management
Implement individual operational plans to ensure defined objectives are met.
Pro-actively identify new business opportunities, whilst maintaining current client base.
Provide market intelligence based on competitive pricing structures and activities to grow market share or enter new markets.
Provide market intelligence and recommendations.
People Management
Complete Individual Development Plan. Attendlearning and developmentcourses. Participate in peer and team learning initiatives.
Stakeholder Relations
Provide specialised technical / professional support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organisational objectives.
Build, support and maintain interpersonal and team relationships to ensure stable working environment and achievement of team objectives.
Provide commercial and technical advice and support to customers.
Governance, Compliance And Risk Management
Adhere to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures. Report non-compliance and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance.
