We are seeking a driven and results-oriented External Sales Consultant to join our dynamic team in the waste management sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and promoting our range of waste management solutions, including general waste, recyclables, and specialized waste services.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across commercial, industrial, and municipal sectors.
Conduct site visits and client meetings to assess waste management needs and propose tailored solutions.
Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations and proposals.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements in line with company policies.
Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Collaborate with internal teams (operations, logistics, customer service) to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations.
Keep up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes affecting waste management.
Submit weekly sales reports and maintain accurate records on CRM systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
Grade 12 / Matric (minimum requirement).
Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Environmental Science, or related field (advantageous).
Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in external sales, preferably in waste management, environmental services, or logistics.
Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
Knowledge of waste management regulations and sustainability practices in South Africa.
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong presentation and proposal-writing abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Results-driven with a passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Basic salary + commission structure
