We’re a South African vehicle asset recovery and debt collection company, delivering tracing, repossession, and recovery services on behalf of major banks and finance houses. We’re growing our national field capacity and looking for experienced, professional External Debt Collectors to represent that standard across multiple provinces.
The Role
As an EDC, you deliver a full tracing, repossession, and debt collection service in your designated operational area. You locate debtors and assets linked to delinquent credit agreements, engage professionally with debtors, and, where legally authorised, execute lawful vehicle repossessions within a 48 hour turnaround window. This is a field based, commission driven role for someone who takes real ownership of their patch and their numbers.
What You’ll Do
— Conduct field visitations and locate debtors and assets professionally and lawfully.
— Identify, verify, and repossess vehicles within the prescribed SLA Mandates, without intimidation, force, or violence.
— Build working relationships with Sheriffs of the Court and SAPS in your jurisdiction.
— Contact and engage debtors respectfully with a view to collecting outstanding debt.
— Meet and exceed monthly targets per the Commission and Incentive Agreement.
— Complete accurate documentation and submit reports through our systems and prescribed channels.
— Maintain strict confidentiality and full legal compliance at all times.
— Work on the principal of TCF treat customers fairly
What You Need
— Grade 12, Matric, or equivalent National Certificate.
— No criminal record, willing to undergo a background check prior to appointment.
— Working knowledge of the NCA, the Debt Collectors Act 114 of 1998,POPIA Act, and extensive knowledge on how to carry out a section 127 recovery, or the ability to acquire this through company training.
— Previous field debt collection, repossession, or tracing experience strongly advantageous.
— Own reliable vehicle.
— Comfortable with smartphone, email, and company reporting applications.
