Working in partnership with an Internal Banker, to attract, retain, maintain, and grow strong relationships and value for Investec across a base of clients, with the focus being on the Entrepreneurship space. The role will entail pro-actively selling the full Private Bank offering to these clients (based on a deep needs analysis and understanding of client) as well as further business entrenchment into the Investec Group.
This role requires a strong acquisition and entrenchment focus, in partnership with Banking and the Investec Group.
Core responsibilities
• Face to face client engagement that unlocks value for both client and bank.
• Sourcing, structuring and implementing lending transactions (both residential and commercial lending) across various industries and sectors, within the defined target market.
• Proactively connect with clients for embedded entrenchment opportunities
• Analyse and understand clients’ needs, structure and sell appropriate solutions across all Private Banking products
• Appropriate understanding of business financials and identifying business banking solutions (working capital, long term lending, forex etc.)
• Develop and maintain Client Action Plans for more complex clients
• Meeting and exceeding specified targets per revenue stream
• Client acquisition and entrenchment through various network levers
• Collating and presenting credit packs to Credit Forums in partnership with a Credit Analyst
• Co-ordinating and facilitating deal teams with group colleagues to deliver on mid-market business banking solutions for client
• Input and drive strategic direction of the business to enhance client experience
• Develop and implement strategies to increase market share, whilst developing and maintaining key relationships with stakeholders
• Keeping abreast of Banking and Group changes and impact on clients Experience, skill and capability
• High energy, self-starter, disciplined, sales orientated, structured and focused individual
• BCom Finance, Accounting / CA (SA) advantageous
• Strong business/ financial acumen
• Advanced understanding of credit and risk management
• Strong
financial analysis
