Job Description : This position will be supporting a project site located in Beatty, Nevada.
The role will require relocation to Beatty, or travel to the site for a 14 / 7 or 5 / 2 schedule rotation. Boart Longyear is a global leader in drilling services, providing innovative and reliable solutions to the mining and drilling industry.
We are currently seeking an experienced Drilling Services Manager to join our Boart Longyear team.
In this role, the Drilling Services Manager will work specifically with the client and will play a crucial role across different divisions in project coordination and client relationship management.
Responsibilities
Ensures all aspects of the project are aligned with contractual obligations and client KPIs.
Encourages a culture of continuous improvement by fostering collaboration and implementing best practices.
Builds and maintains a strong relationship with the client and operations personnel.
Handles difficult situations professionally to ensure client satisfaction.
Acts as a liaison between the Company and the client to ensure all needs are met across drilling disciplines.
Coordinates regular meetings with the client to review needs and objectives.
Leads and influences team culture focused on safety and improvements.
Collaborates to ensure EHS and other compliance standards are met.
Anticipates problems and works with leadership and the client to implement solutions.
Ensures relevant operational systems and practices are applied consistently throughout the project.
Connects operational requirements and EHS systems to meet statutory and company requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or related field, or 7 years of applicable experience in the Drilling Services / Mining Industry.
Proven track record of successful project management in the Drilling Services Industry.
Strong technical understanding of Drilling Services and different drilling disciplines.
Extensive background in Environmental Health and Safety.
Excellent leadership skills with a focus on safety.
Strong problem-solving capabilities with a collaborative approach.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to navigate difficult conversations positively.
High level of professionalism and integrity.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
