Pay: $25.00+ per hour, depending on experience

NSL Seamless Gutters is looking for an Experienced Metal Worker / Gutter Installer to join our growing team.
We’re looking for someone who is good with their hands, understands how metal works, and takes pride in building things that actually look good when they’re finished.
Previous gutter installation experience is a big plus, but it isn’t required. If you have experience with custom sheet metal fabrication, roofing metal, flashing, siding, HVAC sheet metal, welding/fabrication, architectural metal, or similar skilled trade work, your experience may transfer extremely well to what we do.
A large portion of our work is on high-end custom homes throughout the Flathead Valley, where the details matter. We aren’t looking for someone who just wants to get the job done. We’re looking for someone who enjoys figuring things out, working with metal, and producing clean work they’re proud to put their name on.
What You’ll Be Doing
This is a hands-on position that combines metal fabrication, installation, problem solving, and exterior construction.
You’ll work with materials including steel, aluminum, copper, and other architectural metals while learning and working with several different gutter and drainage systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Fabricating and installing seamless gutter systems
- Measuring, laying out, cutting, bending, fitting, and modifying sheet metal
- Building and installing custom downspouts, corners, flashing, outlets, and specialty components
- Working with K-style, half-round, and architectural gutter systems
- Using brakes, snips, hand tools, power tools, and metal-forming equipment
- Reading measurements accurately and figuring out custom layouts in the field
- Troubleshooting challenging installations instead of relying on everything being perfectly straightforward
- Working safely from ladders, roofs, lifts, and other access equipment
- Protecting finished surfaces while working on high-end homes
- Keeping tools, trucks, equipment, and job sites organized
- Working closely with the rest of the crew to keep projects moving
The Person We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who already has a strong foundation working in the trades.
Ideal experience could include:
- Sheet metal fabrication
- Architectural metal work
- Gutter installation
- Metal roofing
- Flashing fabrication and installation
- HVAC sheet metal
- Welding or custom metal fabrication
- Siding or exterior construction
- Carpentry or other skilled construction trades
Just as important, you need to be someone who:
- Is extremely detail-oriented
- Takes pride in clean, precise workmanship
- Can measure accurately and think spatially
- Is mechanically inclined and comfortable figuring things out
- Can work independently without needing every step explained
- Understands that “close enough” isn’t good enough on high-end work
- Shows up reliably and on time
- Communicates and works well with a crew
- Has a positive attitude and is willing to keep learning
- Is comfortable working outdoors and at heights
Physical Requirements
This is real construction work, not a shop-only fabrication position.
You must be able to:
- Work comfortably on roofs and at heights
- Safely handle a 28-foot extension ladder
- Regularly lift and carry 80–100 lbs
- Work outside in heat, cold, rain, and light snow
- Be on your feet and physically active throughout the workday
- Work full-time Monday through Friday with flexible end times when projects require it
- Work overtime when needed
You must also have:
- A valid driver’s license
- An acceptable driving record
- Reliable transportation to our Kalispell shop
Pay & Opportunity
- Starting pay: $25.00+ per hour DOE
- Higher starting pay available for strong relevant experience
- Regular overtime opportunities during busy season (Aug-Nov)
