Experienced CNC Router Operator – Strong G-Code Knowledge Jobs in Fort Worth, TX at Jimco Sales & Manufacturing
Jimco Sales & Manufacturing is seeking an experienced CNC Router Operator to support the production of ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) panels at our Fort Worth facility.
We are looking for someone with at least 2–3 years of CNC router experience and a strong working knowledge of G-code. This is an important part of the position. The right candidate should understand how G-code works, how to read and interpret it, and how to modify or troubleshoot G-code programs when needed.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can independently set up and operate CNC router equipment, understands tooling and cutting parameters, takes pride in producing accurate work, and brings a dependable, positive attitude to the team.
What You’ll Do
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC router equipment used to cut ACM panels
- Load, modify, and troubleshoot G-code programs as required
- Perform machine setup, including tooling selection and material loading
- Read and interpret shop drawings, cut files, and work instructions
- Verify part dimensions and quality using measuring tools
- Perform first-article inspections and in-process quality checks
- Adjust and optimize cutting parameters for accuracy, efficiency, and material preservation
- Work with CNC tooling, feeds, speeds, and cutting strategies
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report mechanical issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow established shop safety procedures and quality standards
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating CNC routers
- Strong working knowledge of G-code and CNC program interpretation
- Experience cutting ACM panels or similar sheet materials
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, cut files, and work instructions
- Familiarity with CNC tooling, feeds, speeds, and cutting strategies
- Basic math skills and understanding of tolerances
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Commitment to safety and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable and able to consistently report to work for a 5:00 AM start
Experience That Is a Plus
- CAM software experience
- Experience working with aluminum, plastics, PVC, or composite materials
- Architectural panel, signage, or fabrication experience
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
- Ability to perform minor CNC machine troubleshooting and adjustments
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
Schedule
Monday–Friday
Regular shift: 5:00 AM–1:30 PM
Overtime is available and commonly extends the workday until approximately 3:30 PM. Candidates should be comfortable with overtime when production needs require it.
Because of the early start time, reliable transportation and a sustainable commute to Jimco’s Fort Worth facility are important.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and handle sheet materials weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Manual dexterity necessary for machine setup and inspection
Pay: $21.00 – $26.00 per hour
