Position:
Executive Housekeeper
Responsibilities:
– Manage and supervise the housekeeping staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
– Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all guest areas, including cabins, public areas, and crew quarters
– Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
– Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations
– Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner
– Conduct inspections to ensure that all cabins and public areas are properly cleaned and maintained
– Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations
– Prepare and manage the housekeeping budget
– Conduct regular meetings with the housekeeping team to review performance and address any issues or concerns
– Train and mentor new housekeeping staff members
– Handle and resolve any guest complaints or issues related to housekeeping services
Requirements:
– Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory role in housekeeping, preferably in a cruise ship or hotel setting
– Strong leadership and organizational skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
– Knowledge of cleaning procedures and techniques
– Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
– Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
– Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed
– Fluent in English, knowledge of other languages is a plus
– Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications for working on a cruise ship
