Our client is one of Cape Town’s premium event venues. Our space is available for hire for a huge variety of functions and is the perfect location to celebrate and enjoy – whatever the reason.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engaging with potential clients via email, phone, and in-person viewings
- Crafting compelling proposals, quotes, and invoices
- Upselling venue services and building strong client relationships
- Managing event planning, orders, budgets, service providers and logistics coordination
- Overseeing seamless event execution alongside the operations team
- Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
- Analyze the event’s success and prepare reports, feedback to the leadership team
- Driving to clients and service providers
- Management of employees if / when required
- Other duties when required from management
What we are looking for:
We’re looking for a vibrant, well-spoken, and charismatic individual with a natural flair for sales and client relations. This role involves handling the full client journey—from the first email inquiry to the final event execution.
Minimum requirements:
- 3+ years experience as events manager
- Computer savvy, proficient in MS Office
- Valid Driver's license and own vehicle
- Exceptional communication skills, in English
- South African citizen.
- Clear credit and criminal record
Ideal requirements:
- Tertiary education in business management / project management or alike (ideal)
Soft skills:
- Fanatical attention to detail
- Customer centric
- A passion for delivering unforgettable event experiences
- Ability to multi-task and manage various projects simultaneously.
- Competent to handle high stress situations and stay calm under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationships.
- Independent worker but able to work in a team.
- Agile and flexible; willing to learn.
