What will you do?
Market Making
Run daily P&L and Position reporting on all ETF Market Making businesses. This process will include:
Updating the database of daily trades, creations, redemptions and dividends
Monitor and report on daily trades
Reconcile positions to BDA
Reconcile dividends with BDA
The review of daily basket files received from the ETF providers for changes to the basket constituents and distributable amounts
Monitor the appropriateness of the hedging and advise traders on adjustments that are required from time to time.
Liaise with ETF providers withrespectto baskets and independently monitor and implement basket changes
Reconcile P&Ls to General Ledger system
Assist the Back Office staff with reporting requirements
Assist with the expense allocation process of trade and JSE related costs
Collateralised Lending
Sanlam Private Wealth Equity-Backed Finance:
Daily reporting of Loan Movements
Monthly funding and margin calculations including branch breakdowns for Portfolio Manager Commissions calculations
Assist SPW Finance with queries on the loan book
Delta One
Sanlam Private Wealth Derivatives Desk
Daily reconciliation of Single Stocks and CFD positions and trades
Daily P&L and Risk reporting on the Delta Once activity
General
Assist with inputs for board reports or any other committee reports as required
Innovate to automate and streamline processes with the aid of macros and power queries, etc., across all business areas of involvement
What will make you successful in this role?
Working knowledge of ETFs and Market Making
Working knowledge of Interest Rates and related financial calculations

Qualification and experience
Bachelor degree in finance, banking, management and other relative majors
Minimum of three – five years working within the South African financial markets
Experience in the banking industry
Knowledge and skills
Detailed knowledge of risk management and accounting for financial instruments
Ability to communicate ideas succinctly and have both excellent written and verbalcommunication skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Macros, Power Query, etc.)
Excellentattention to detail
A high level of drive and commercial acumen, coupled with a readiness to make quick decisions and take responsibility while working in a close team
