Salary: R574,335per annum excluding benefits
POSITION INFO:
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor of Science (Hons) in the Natural Sciences or Equivalent, registration as Professional / Candidate Natural Scientist (SACNASP) and / or Registered / Candidate EAP (EAPASA) (NQF Level 8) Minimum Experience: At least 3-5 years water / environmental sector experience Knowledge of environmental and water-related legislation and processes Knowledge of environmental management systems Key Outputs: Reporting to the Environmental Specialist, the employee will: Implement Amatola Water's Environmental and Climate Change Policy to ensure adherence to environmental and water legislation Assist with the review of the Environmental and Climate Change Policy for Amatola Water Provide environmental input into planning activities Provide guidance concerning environmental considerations for planning initiatives Provide environmental input into projects Assist with environmental impact assessments for projects Implementation and monitoring of the Environmental Management System to manage the environmental impact of operation and maintenance activities Assist in implementation of the Environmental Management System within Amatola Water's integrated management system (IMS). Participate in research projects Provide environmental input into research projects when required Key Competencies: Communication (written and verbal) skills Experience in infrastructure project implementation programmes Computer Literate – spreadsheets, word processing and presentation packages Valid unendorsed driver's license Employment Equity Target: Preference will be given to females
