Start your plumbing career with S3 Plumbing & Mechanical — no experience required. We train you from the ground up: starting in our warehouse, then advancing into a state-registered Illinois plumbing apprenticeship, all the way to becoming a licensed journeyman plumber.
What you’ll do
- Start in our warehouse as a laborer/delivery driver (12–18 months), learning our materials and operations
- Advance into a hands-on, four-year Illinois state-registered plumbing apprenticeship, working alongside experienced journeymen
- Build real skills: copper soldering, PVC assembly, gas pipe cutting and threading, and more
- Progress toward testing for the Illinois plumbing exam and becoming a licensed journeyman plumber
Pay that grows with you
- Warehouse: $19.00/hr
- 1st Year Apprentice: $24.56/hr
- 2nd Year Apprentice: $28.22/hr
- 3rd Year Apprentice: $31.87/hr
- 4th Year Apprentice: $40.49/hr
