The engagement consolidates a few portfolios under a single accountable owner and is designed to: (a) anchor BSS transformation in South Africa and the Salesforce single-org transformation architecture that enables the three operating orgs; (b) drive the BSS Agentic AI evolution from strategy into delivery; and (c) complete the committed EB LOM delivery pipeline and the wider Group Enterprise Business Unit (GEBU) portfolio of in-house applications, back-office transformation streams and centralised EBU data reporting
Services span enterprise and solution architecture, AI and BSS strategy translation, in-house application delivery leadership, OpCo transformation delivery, and governance and stakeholder management across Group and OpCo forums
The mandate consolidates multiple workstreams within EBU delivery — under one accountable owner, with the following three anchoring responsibilities:
• Anchor EBU Salesforce single-org transformation architecture that enables the three operating orgs.
• Drive the BSS Agentic AI evolution from strategy into active delivery for EBU, including the AI Cognitive Proposal Builder Phase 1 rollout and Phase 2 scoping and build.
• Complete the committed EB LOM App/ Sales enablement tool delivery pipeline — vetting feature, French version and V2 migrations for Eswatini, Rwanda, Congo Brazzaville — and continue leadership of the wider EBU Back-office Transformation programme, including the Zambia model-OpCo target for 2027.
The role requires deep and demonstrable senior capability across multiple specialist domains. Bids that do not evidence all of the following will not be considered:
• Demonstrable senior enterprise architecture capability in telecom BSS, including CRM, customer channels and enterprise business delivery, aligned to eTOM and TM Forum reference architectures.
• Demonstrable hands-on delivery capability on Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps Canvas and Model-Driven, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, DAX, ALM pipelines) at the depth required to lead in-house build.
• Demonstrable capability on Salesforce architecture at a level sufficient to define a single-org transformation architecture and enable multiple operating orgs.
• Demonstrable capability on Azure and AI services relevant to the BSS Agentic AI evolution (including Azure AI Foundry, Container Apps, API Management, Communication Services).
• Cross-OpCo delivery experience across the MTN Africa footprint or an equivalent multi-market operator context.
