Job Description
Responsible for phlebotomy duties.
Perform administrative tasks to ensure correct completion and recording of relevant lab related documents
Ensure that the correct process for collection and facilitation of payments for phlebotomy services rendered is followed
Ensure that health and safety processes are adhered to at all times
Perform phlebotomy services in line with the company’s standards.
Maintain all equipment and stocks used for phlebotomy.
Maintain patient/client confidentiality.
Must know process of drawing blood
Knowledge of specialized tests that are requested
Ensure phlebotomy protocols are followed
Data capturing
Practice infection control standards at all times
Completion of logs in all clinical settings e.g, Decontamination and temperature logs
Requirements:
2-3 Years’ Experience.
Able to work Night Shifts
Flexible with Shifts and with own reliable transport.
Excellent customer service, Communication skills
Must be prepared to work Overtime, Weekends and Public Holidays when required.
Must be Registered with SANC 2025
Laboratory experience preferred
Attending the relevant in-service training and workshops
Knowledge of specialized tests
