Engine Disassembly Technician Jobs in Penn Yan, NY at Penn Yan Aero
The position covers a wide range of tasks from disassembling piston driven aircraft engines to cleaning engine components using various blasting and cleaning techniques. The position is responsible for reporting missing components and recording engine details clearly for reporting to the production coordinator. Communication, good handwriting and working well with others are highly desired skills.
Candidate will need assorted basic mechanics fractional hand tools for the job. (Sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, pry bars, drill…). Specialty tools are provided by the company. Ultimately the ideal candidate needs to have confidence in making sure the job is done right and own putting out a product your proud enough of to put your name on.
40 hours per week 7:00AM to 3:30PM
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Primary job function requires standing for the majority of the work day disassembling engines.
- Candidate must have an open mind to accept guidance.
- Constant awareness of moving vehicles like forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Occasionally exposed to cold, hot and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, push, pull, crouch or crawl.
- Frequently lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 40 lbs. Occasional lifting and/or move up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and/or customers/vendors.
- Be safety conscience.
