WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Electronic Engineer will be responsible to design and develop electronics, digital and analogue, combined with mechanical interfaces. Work as part of a project team to establish technology building blocks for defence related devices within set schedule, cost and requirements constraints. Provide technical support during series production. Assist to define and support the expansion of RDM’s electronic engineering capability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop electronic solutions for electro-mechanical munition sub-systems according to the Military Acquisition Process.
Assist in defining future technology requirements to grow RDM’s electronic capability.
Design electrical/electronic products/components for use in the military field.
Design for Safety, Functionality, Reliability of electronics for defence products.
Design and oversee the manufacture of equipment used in prototype testing , conduct such testing.
Participate in peer review of designs, documentation, and software code.
Participate when required in dynamic tests at test ranges and compile test reports.
Oversee and participate in technical investigations as applicable.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
BSc or BEng Degree in Electronic Engineering.
Post Graduate Degree would be advantageous.
Proficiency in analogue, and digital circuit design.
At least 5 years’ experience in electronic development environment.
Highly proficient at writing technical reports and documents as required during various phases of the product development process.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently with initiative and make decisions, as well as in a team.
Diligent, systematic and organised approach to tasks.
Analytical & problem-solving skills.
Siemens Teamcenter, GitHub, SAP, and Altium Designer experience would be advantageous.
